We will be breaking ground on Phase 2 of the Carlos Fiber Optic Grant Project in the spring of 2025. To be as efficient as possible, we have started scheduling site visits. We have completed the mainline and fiber drops for the Carlos phase 1 fiber project. The next step will be splicing.

We are currently constructing the mainline and fiber drops for phase 1 of the Carlos fiber grant project.

Our construction season depends on the weather here in rural Douglas County. Once the ground thaws, we start our fiber-optic construction season. June 28, 2023 Update:
Today the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development announced the 2023 Border to Border (B2B) Grant recipients and we are pleased to share we are one of them!
The “Carlos” project will serve 122 unserved households, home based businesses and telecommuters with fiber-optic internet speeds up to 1 Gbps download and 1 Gpbs upload. These speeds will exceed the Minnesota 2023 state speed goal. This project will enhance the quality of life for these Douglas County residents for years to come.
