Our Mission

Gardonville is so much more than world-class fiber-optic services. The mission of our cooperative is to better the lives of the people in the communities we serve by investing our time, funds and resources into economic development projects and local organizations. Here are just a few examples…

Gardonville gives generously through donations, high school scholarships, low-interest small business loans and event participation. This list includes, but is not limited to, Alexandria Technical College, Brandon-Evansville School, Alexandria Area High School, Zion Lutheran School, St. Mary’s School, Luther Crest Bible Camp, Brandon Lions Club, Runestone Community Center, Relay for Life, Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission, Brandon Economic Development Commission, Pride of the Lakes, Douglas County Sheriff’s Federation and Posse, Adult and Teen Challenge, Habitat for Humanity, Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and local sports teams and clubs.

Gardonville is the sole provider of WiFi at community events. Some of these include Art in the Park, Youth Outdoor Activity Day, Douglas County Fair, Sounds of Summer by Brophy Concert Series and Alexandria Industries’ Fishing for the Cure.

Since 2010, we’ve hosted an ewaste recycling event. Recycling ewaste is important because it contains toxic and hazardous materials, which have the potential to leach into our soil and water if not disposed of properly. Electronic equipment can be refurbished, reused, and recycled instead of being landfilled. With your help, we have helped keep 141,138 pounds of ewaste out of our landfills.

Our staff is also committed to the success of our community. Many are volunteer firefighters and first responders and actively serve at their churches, schools and on non-profit boards.
