Gardonville Recognizes Three Local Seniors with Achievement Awards
Gardonville is proud to recognize three outstanding local students as recipients of the 2026 Gardonville Achievement Award: Kennedy Hodgson of Alexandria Area High School, and Kolby Bitzan and Justin Thoennes of Brandon/Evansville High School.
The Gardonville Achievement Award honors local high school seniors who demonstrate hard work, determination, and a strong desire to succeed. What makes the award especially meaningful is that students are selected by a committee of mentors and are unaware they are being considered.
Each student received a $500 scholarship to help further their education after graduation.
Kennedy Hodgson was presented with her award by Gardonville Board Director Curt Matter during Alexandria Area High School’s Honors Night on Monday, May 11.
Kolby Bitzan and Justin Thoennes were recognized during Brandon/Evansville’s senior awards program. Both students exemplify the values of perseverance, commitment, and community that the Achievement Award is designed to celebrate.
“At Gardonville, we believe in supporting the next generation of leaders, workers, and community members,” said Curt Matter. “These students have demonstrated exceptional character and dedication, and we are excited to see what their futures hold.”
Gardonville is honored to invest in local students and celebrate their accomplishments as they take the next step in their educational journeys.
Congratulations to Kennedy, Kolby, and Justin on this well-deserved recognition!
