The Christina Lake Gobblin' Gals will be hosting the 2nd Annual Women's Turkey Banquet at the Long Lake Lodge in Brandon. Gobblin' Hour - 5:30 p.m. Dinner - 7:30 p.m.

  July 30 - Brandon Pork Chop Feed

Wednesday 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. the Pork Chop Feed will be held at the Lions Park. New this year will be the addition of a kids menu consisting of Hot Dogs and Chips. Once again there will be the Beer Garden supplied by the Brandon Liquor Store. Pure Country will be proving the entertainment.

There will be a program at the History Center with Hilda Betterman being the MC. The Douglas County Historical Society will be putting on "hats, Aprons and Purses of Yesteryear." Coffee and Bars will be available with the proceeds going to support our History Center.

Craft Show at the Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; 4-H food stand at city Hall; Petting Zoo from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Kids Tractor Pull at 2:00 p.m.; Finger Printing by the Sheriff's Department in the laundromat from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Kiddie Parade starts at 10:30 a.m., with the main parade starting at 11:00 a.m. The ball fields will surely be full of activity as the softball and volleyball tournaments bring in large crowds. The Lions will be trying something new this year, with a fish fry. The street dance finishes the evening out. If you wish to volunteer to help contact Ruth or Karen at 320.834.4094.

3:00 p.m. - The Turtle Hearts, Anishinabe children's dance performance.

8:00 p.m. - Homegrown Music in West Gym-EAC.

Evansville will be having their 5th annual rummage sale to benefit any needs in the community. There will be a FREE-WILL offering with all donations going to Evansville Youth and ECFE. Donations may be dropped off the begining of June 30th through July 3rd. The sale will be held with the city wide garage sales in Evansville. Call 320-834-5271 with any questions.   July 26 - Shane Buse Memorial Scholarship Shoot

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Shane Buse Memorial Scholarship Shoot will be held at the Elk Lake Heritage Preserve which is located 4 miles North of Hoffman on Co. Rd 5. Open to the public. Shooters of all ability levels are welcome! Lots of Prizes! Participants shoot choice of either a round of 50 on the sporting clays course or a the 5-stand. Cost: $30 for 50 rounds or $50 for 100 rounds; includes shoot, lunch, contribution to the Shane Buse Memorial Scholarship Fund and the chances to win prizes.
